Resident Evil: Revelations Review - PlayDevil

PlayDevil has posted an in depth review of the new "Resident Evil: Revelations" for X360.

More:

"The ship, with its lavish mansion like passenger deck and behind the scenes crew areas, harkens to the classic era of RE with lots of back tracking and exploration. True, this was originally to limit the world size for the handheld version, but I won't complain if it gives me more of the Resident Evil I want.

While the game's 3DS centric structure worked well for me, moving the game to the big screen does solve the original's issue of control, providing a second analogue stick without the need of a clunky peripheral.

It is thanks to this that Revelations now defaults to 'shooter' controls over 'classic' tank controls, as while Revelations does offer a slower pace of play to REs 4, 5 and 6, when things heat up the action does get quite intense. Normally, when managed well this proves a good thing, with the ferocity of the action creating tension through a lack of recourses." (PS3, Resident Evil Revelations, Xbox 360) 80/100
