E3 2013: Dark Souls 2′s New Game Engine Is Beautiful

One of the reasons why Dark Souls II is a game to look forward in 2014 is because the game is getting a whole new game engine, meaning it will look much better than its predecessor. (Dark Souls 2, PS3, Xbox 360)

Will bodies still flail around in a ridiculous way?

Cos I kinda liked that...

I think they removed that, but we finally get cloth physics!

Yes it most certainly is. Can't wait to die again.
It's would be nice to have a 1080p, 60fps ps4 version.

Get the 1080p, 60fps PC version.

Why would he want that if he wants a PS4 version?
well will it cost more than $399? for the machine?

Will the PC version (if it happens) have better controls and be optimized better for our cards?

coz I kinda hated that shitty port.
thezeldadoth  +   522d ago
it worked natively with the 360 controller, and you could mod hi res textures into the game. also the framerate didnt drop in the new londo ruins like it did every single time on the ps3 version. played the whole game on both versions, the pc version was much smoother.

PC version was announced at the same time as the console versions, so yes it's happening, as for controls, use a pad, as for running well, it actually ran just fine, I record at a solid 60 fps everywhere in dark souls with (above) max settings using DsFix.

The game was meant to be played with a controller and in that regard it was fine. That said, I'm sure more thought will be put into the keyboard/mouse controls.

Sucks that's its not appearing on next gen consoles, after the ps4 and xbox1 drop I'm diving in head first into next gen and I'm not looking back

As long as it's not the Unreal Engine then we wont have to watch a loading screen when the level changes.
