Marcus brings his unkind words straight to the Xbox booth. Did the booth bite back? (12:59)
I really don't see how anyone can buy Xbox One. No, games were running on your actual hardware. Horrible DRM policies. High price tag and only 1 guaranteed launch title (Forza 5). How the mighty (america only) have fallen, indeed. Glad I sold my Xbox360 since my microsoft points weren't refundable and just were going to expire. How Xbox fans deny all this is beyond me.
what!!! i thought they said the point you have gets transferred to real life currency. oh well i guess ill go spend my 400 points on avatar stuff
Amazingly there are a few hold-out hardcore Xbox fans. I've had a LIVE subscription for 7 years, but over the recent years I've drifted more towards PS3 games, and now this has totally driven me away from Xbox. Unfortunately the general public won't know any better and the Xbox will probably still do okay. I mean did you see the CNN stock show with Pachter as the guest? It was clear that nobody knew what was going on and they were telling their audience "it's just like netflix, it's the future, go and buy an xbox" Edit: actually I think the show was on NBC
@Muerte2494, "I really don't see how anyone can buy Xbox One. No, games were running on your actual hardware. Horrible DRM policies. High price tag and only 1 guaranteed launch title (Forza 5). How the mighty (america only) have fallen, indeed. Glad I sold my Xbox360 since my microsoft points weren't refundable and just were going to expire." 1. The PS3 sold quite well and it was $600 and had a poor line-up of games. 2. The argument it wasn't running on actual hardware is a weak attempt. This isn't some concept video like Killzone on the PS3 back in 2006. 3. The Xbox One will be launching with Forza 5, Kinect Sports Rival, Ryse, and Dead Rising 3 will be available during this holiday season.
"The argument it wasn't running on actual hardware is a weak attempt" That depends on how close the hardware was to being representative of the console. If it was better than the actual console, there's a bit of a problem there.
There was a GTX 780 inside. Killzone 2 actually came back to look better in some areas than that trailer. I'll give that about the launch titles. Battlefield 4 was even confirmed to be running on PC during Microsfot's press conference http://i.imgur.com/rTuCnHd.... http://www.playstationlifes... Ps3 sold well because Sony's first party studio showed ps3 was, in fact, more powerful than Xbox360. Sony also does well worldwide unlike Microsoft.
More than anything its the expectation that a customer is suppose to make an initially large, then smaller ongoing investment not including games while having no actual ownership of any product.
great video as usual Marcus. Microsoft, there's a message for you..you're going to get it a lot and you're going to learn to like it:
"Relax, just let it happen. It'll be over soon" would have been a bit more on-message.
xbox was never "Mighty" !! ya it was sure nice and all but not "Mighty"
The 360 was and still remains an amazing and yes "mighty" platform. Microsoft built a lot of trust with the 360, but they have quickly lost it all. It can be regained. If Microsoft would just ease off on these draconian policies they would get a lot of people back. Most of us want to be excited for games on the Xbox One, but I am not will to sell gaming as a whole down the drain to play a couple of Xbox One games.
maybe that's in YOUR standard in MY standards there is only 2 "mighty" consoles and that's the PS2 and the NES other consoles may come close to those 2 but they wont overdo them in my book, no way. mighty is a big word mind you.
While I agree with the general idea, I think he's being overly harsh on MS. They showed more games than Sony at the conference and as far as launch games go, I think that MS's lineup is as good as Sony's. I think exclusive games have been rather weak this E3, I'm only excited for infamous and maybe dead rising. all the other games I'm exited about are on all platforms.
The best thing about this video is the red Xbox sign when he talks about PROD
