Sony: Industry needs a balance between big budget and creative, smaller games

Sony's Andrew House stated in an interview recently that the gaming industry can't rely on high-end games to much and how they hope Playstation can be a good place for big budget as well as small indie games.

Yes offcourse. I love big budget games but having just them gets boring over time and expensive as well. Little but interesting and unique games in between is what we need.

Sony focusing on the indie devs is a big plus for them. Mark my words. The indie scene will be critical for this gen's console race.

Jim is now really one of the the heroes of this industry and seems to be doing a lot in sharing his opinion as a gaming journalist, no matter how vulgar the truth is.

Sometimes the gaming industry really reminds me of the movie industry... all cgi and no story. Of course there are exceptions ;-).
