The Legend of Zelda may use DLC soon

Aonuma said, "We're certainly looking at different ways to add on content that would enhance the experience for the user – maybe more places to explore or just to enrich the experience beyond what is on the disc." (3DS, Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, The Legend of Zelda, Wii U)

Makes sense, since N64DD was basically a system to add on content to LoZ:OoT- the Master Quest.

This would certainly be a way for them to keep content coming at a quicker pace.
Also, DLC would not have to be scrutinized as hard (by Nintendo) as the additional content would be extra and not the main or original vision.

It would be a great way to train RETRO, let some of them make DLC for LoZ while they ramp-up for the NEW Samus/Metroid Game.

(I haven't forgotten RETRO... hover my avatar!) >:(

They wanted it to be a persistent world as well with the DD addon. I hope they bring something similar back into their new zelda game.

I think it would actually worth well with LoZ only because Nintendo is involved and won't be greedy with the DLC.

They are after quality with LoZ not quantity, otherwise we would have yearly LoZ games on EVERY platform.

I am not saying that the DLC has to be Cheap- I am just saying that they can have fun with it.

For instance- And this maybe a bad example Twilight Princess- what if Nintendo had made Link's Crossbow Training DLC content.

Link's Cross Bow training is not a Zelda Game but it is fun and it is clearly set in the Zelda Universe.
It was a very fun game, quality but it was not a Full game.

What if they made DLC for WW and instead focused on creating more Stealth Esq. missions?

So what I mean by "scrutinized as hard (by Nintendo) as the additional content would be extra and not the main or original vision" is that the DLC does not have to jog with the story and they do not have to worry about creating it or including it if it does not quite jog with the story.

If Link's Cross Bow training was in TP it would not quite make sense with the original vision of TP.

I only want EXPANSION DLC, not things to make the game easier. Play the game, get better at it, and beat the game!

$2 for 500 ruppies? nope!
$5 for a new link costume? nope!
$15 for Ura/Master quest expansion with new items and questline? Sure why not?
