Titanfall may be “multiplayer-focused,” but the game’s producer Drew McCoy said that the multiplayer will be infused with elements that you’d expect from a single-player game. Also, McCoy added that Titanfall won’t be a linear experience.
Clearly Titanfall is all about the multiplayer and that's a good as far as I'm concerned but the danger with trying to tell a story narrative through multiplayer is that, 1) it won't be anywhere near as emotive (2) players frankly won't have the time to care for it and (3) the story will be all over the place by virtue of the order of the maps you decide to play unless you have some intricate way to tie the narrative in.
