No mod support for Battlefield 4

DICE general manager Karl-Magnus Troedsson confirmed to PC Gamer at E3 that Battlefield 4 will not support mods. Troedsson caveated that user-generated content is something that DICE finds “very interesting,” and yet when asked if BF4 will support mods, he answered "no." (Battlefield 4, E3, PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

oh well, atleast they've added a bunch of other stuff.
Also made console players get a whole new battlefield experience, with 64players and 60 fps

Why play it on consoles when you can do 128 players on pc (unconfirmed) with 120 fps?

You spent a good amount of time trying to get your bubbles back, now you're trying to lose them again smh.

this is going to be the norm from now on
Activision started with no mod for CoD and then many games follow suit. and then they started to price to $60 and many follows too. pc gaming is losing benefits as we speak

Why do you say that? We still have indie developers; it's far easier to make titles on Pc, and in addition to that, as long as there are fans for video games, there will be mods.

It really isn't, but then you live in the console "bubble" so I really don't expect you to be aware of such things.

Typical stance from DICE/EA

Just so people are forced to buy DLC, not play mods...

So many good mods for BF2. FH2, Project reality. I was really hoping to be playing forgotten hope 3, but it looks like my dreams are shattered. At least commander mode is back, along with bigger squads.

EA has kicked modding out for a while now, the last game they made that was like officially mod supported was crysis 2 I believe.

I would have loved a GI-Joe vs Cobra Mod with accompanying laser and sound effects from the original series. (Something to think about DICE.)

Battlefield 4 has pretty much everything you could want from a FPS, i just hope they don't go and make a Rent a Server feature again...You get banned for killing the admin most the time

gazgriff2k12  +   310d ago
they should release mod support for battlefield 3 to give the game some extra life

Mods for consoles are pretty much dead.
