Super Smash Bros. New Characters… REALLY?

The Tyuno Project: "On Tuesday June 11, Nintendo held there E3 edition of their Nintendo Direct. They showed a ton of exclusive games for the Nintendo Wii U, but by far the game that everyone was looking forward to was the trailer for the next Super Smash Bros. game. Once Nintendo showed off the trailer for the next Smash Bros. everyone (including myself) was excited. I am a huge fan of the Super Smash Bros series and I know that the next installment will be awesome, but I do have some questions about the new characters that were selected as part of the roster."

2 out of 3 aint bad.
Still, wii fit? wth Nintendo?

HarryMasonHerpderp1642d ago (Edited 1642d ago )

Okay I have gotten to ten disagrees an I'm not sure why. Is the Wii fit character a really awesome idea or something?

@Tatsumaki
who said anything about taking the game seriously?
I just think it's an incredibly lame idea.
Megaman: Awesome
Villager: cool idea
Wii fit women: ummm wut?

Not exactly a character to stand the test of time and stick with the SSB series. In two years no one is going to care about the women from Wii fit.

Tewi-Inaba1642d ago (Edited 1642d ago )

I don't understand.
Why do people think "she doesn't belong"
As soon as you take SSB series seriously, then you stopped played SSB seriously.
pseudo-realism has always been in the SSB series too, did everyone just forget about Master Hand?

+ Her moveset is intresting to say the least

Are you saying characters that aren't 'popular' have no chance of becoming a popular character in a Crossover game?

You might wanna tell that to the makers of Fire Emblem and Sakurai and the KI:U team

That's anothing thing how is Villager a cool idea if Wii Fit Trainer isn't

HarryMasonHerpderp1642d ago

I can't get my head around how you think the wii fit character is a good addition to the SSB roster. You're entitled to your opinion though as am I so maybe the wii fit character is a good addition but I just can't see it myself.

I thought villager was pretty cool, and fans have been wanting him in the smash bros game for years now.

the wii fit trainer is supposed to be that "wtf"/ funny character that no one expected, like jiggly puff or rob the Robot. I personally thought it was funny welcomed addition

mcstorm1642d ago (Edited 1642d ago )

I agree but I think they should of added your mii instead. Still I don't care I cant wait for this game. I was excited over PSASBR but when I got it I felt let down.

Wolfbiker1642d ago

Who is to say they won't?

mcstorm1642d ago

@Wolfbiker that is every true and I hope they do.

Dravidian1642d ago

I doubt they will because of balancing/aesthetic issues. People make their miis in different sizes and shapes. Fot the game to make sense their hit/hurt boxes would need to be similar to mii size. If they dont it would look and feel weird. Alternatively, they could use a generic mii....but that would defeat the purpose of having a mii in the game.

Dj7FairyTail1642d ago

uh Jigglypuff was expected because of the anime.

Wolfbiker1642d ago

I thought the Wii fit trainer was funny and will probably be really good lol

I can't wait to troll people with Yogo girl online.
