Terraria Creator Andrew Spinks Talks Vita, Future Content

Argus9: "We recently had the chance to talk with Terraria creator Andrew Spinks in advance of the impending Vita port of his wildly-popular side-scrolling adventure game. Terraria has seen a hugely-successful launch on PC and its Xbox 360 / PS3 following is quite strong as well, so it’s only natural that the game makes the leap to mobile platforms next. While we were certainly excited to find out more about the mobile version, Andrew was also gracious enough to give us some insight into Terraria’s origins and where it’s going from here." (Android, iPad, iPhone, Mobile, PC, PS Vita, PS3, Terraria, Xbox 360)

Oh wow, so the PC update 1.2 that they've been working on is coming to consoles as well? That's awesome news! I have this for both PS3 and PC, I'll be buying the Vita version as well lol.

Very. Just think minecraft but as a 2d sidescroller.

Rule #1, build a house fast and pray that a Blood Moon doesn't happen within the 1st few nights. Your welcome in advance.

I mean you really get out of it what you put into it. There's a lot of exploration and building to do, you're given a lot of creative freedom. So if you put in the time to explore the world and build a sprawling home, furnish it with tools and objects, and meet NPCs to help you, it's very rewarding.

I don't have a ton of time to play it each day either, but it's still one of the best uses of $10 I've ever spent and I'd highly recommend it. We'll be doing a review of the Vita version on our site, GamersXtreme.org, so if you really want to know, check it out. Or if you have any questions, ask me :)
