Mad Max preview: Bringing Just Cause's insanity to the wilds | EuroGamer

EuroGamer: "Commandeering vehicles is nothing new in open world games. Heck, the genre was in many ways founded by a game called Grand Theft Auto, so getting behind the wheel to zip around an extended map is the oldest trick in the book. And yet it's hard to form much of an attachment to a particular vehicle when everything with a gas pedal is for the taking. I'm intrigued to see more. I wish they would give the people who are going to actually buy these games access to the 'behind closed doors' demos.

They had better get this right! Mad Max is a legendary franchise, they'd better give it the love it deserves. I'm glad it is still set in Australia, absolutely perfect setting (I was worried they may re-locate it to America the way Hollywood does with many British film remakes).

Nice to see old classic 70's/80's films turned into games. Has anybody made a West World game yet? Or Jaws would be awesome. Maybe even Logan's Run. A real rich vein of ideas in films of the era. Far more varied and experimental than the homogenized garbage they spew out nowadays.

If they pull this off, I'd love to see a Punisher game.
