OXCGN's: Saints Row IV SHOULD Have Been a Spin-off

The flair that was present within Saints Row 3 is in full swing in Saints Row IV and that’s both a good and a bad thing.

The last game in the franchise left a bitter taste in my mouth with its drastic change in direction from Saints Row 2. Forced humour, extremely short campaign, lack of compelling characters and dull mini-games were turn-offs for me.

It was the polar opposite of Saints Row 2 and I was left unimpressed.

Saints Row IV ups the ante by pitting you as the President of the United States, having an alien race attack Steelport then thrusting you into a virtual Steelport where you’re granted superpowers. (E3)

I agree in part, but I think it's found its niche as a balls-out game devoid of seriousness. I can't see them going back now.
