TGS: PS4 Demos suffer at E3 Conference

E3 often has issues when games are shown on the screen. Lack of sound, not loading up in time, being out of sync. All part and parcel of working at E3. However, during Sonys conference something else happened which may prove to be a bit of an issue. During two gameplay demos, one of Assassins Creed and one of Destiny their videos locked up. The cameras panned to a live crowd at the time, and you could people were moving, it was not the internet stream that was the issue. The footage stuttered or paused. (E3)

Those other games at EA and Ubisoft could have been on PC as well. Something doesn't seem right with PS4, something seems fishy. Like I said months ago, Sony changed the specs just before the PS4 reveal. What they are boasting is most likely target specs not reality. Just like PS2 and PS3 emotion engines and 10x the power of a supercomputer. IMO PS4 exclusives don't seem on par graphically to XB1.

Perhaps the reason Sony did not do live demos with their AAA's they announced a few months ago at their presser after MSFT's E3 lineup presser. MSFT is doing a hardware reveal later today, we'll see if they decided to talk about details and are settled with the current hardware configuration whatever that might be.

Are PS4's specs fiction hoping to be reality at some point?

No one knows if multi plats were on PS4 hardware but they can see multi plats running on XB1 with the console always in view.

He started a new account, got to 5 bubbles and now the E3 is winding down, he is on his way beck to 1 bubble.

Through it all, I cant believe how diligent he has been defending the shitty xbox but realistically, his claims about what might have happened leading up to E3 pretty much did not happen.

Gotta ask, where is the Xbox mini you proclaimed greenpowerz?

Gamer it is not 50% more powerful!

The Xbox is 50% less powerful, go read up on the difference.

It's basic math!

It's not 2:1

It more like 2/3

So the Xbox is 1 third less powerful, not half like you think :/

You need to check your math skills. PS4 is 50% more powerful. 50% of 1.2 is 0.6. Add those together and you get 1.8. Xbone is 33% less powerful. I think the concept you're not understanding is that the percentages change based on your reference point.

Well at least your bubbles are almost back to normal, and in record time. Now please stop.

I'm grateful that there are people actually supporting the X1 --- I want to see Microsoft believe they are correct about their policies and proven wrong on the grand stage. ---12

Man if you dont get paid for your support i´d be disturbingly amazed

There is another article on here how a X1 game crashed to windows 7 at the MS booth. Something seems fishy to me...hmmm....maybe it's because final dev kits aren't sent out for either system, so all we have is PC's to run them on? It's par for the course when new systems arrive.

I'd be surprised if either system was released with major game stuttering issues related to the system itself. Most things like that are code related. Hardware failures tend to give an exception error on screen when they happen, or on the user level something akin to RROD or YLOD. That's how hardware is designed...everything has an exception code so the problem can be tracked down.

@Greenpowerz not sure if plain ignorant or just stupid.

IMO PS4 exclusives don't seem on par graphically to XB1.

KZ:SF raped any game shown on on xbox juan graphically.

its a live demo on a system and games that are not even out yet....... who cares. pointless article that could miss lead the public.
Virtual_Reality  +   307d ago
Maybe because those are early builds? I didn't see any of the Devs saying those are final builds.

If someone develops something and is not tested correctly, do you blame the Developers or the console?

I agree, I complete thought he was going to say there were problems with the game demos on the showroom floor.

I was I bit worried too, but actually only 2 multiplatform games looked incredible good on the show, nfs rivals and the division.... both were played on a ps4 and were no lag or any frame tearing at all. so I believe there is nothing to worry about, sony didn't really had time to show live gameplays, they had lot of things to talk about :) im going to pre-order today :)

Demos for the Need for Speed Rivals and The Division were played using the PS4. The controller could clearly be seen during the demo in the players hands.

Poor delusional greentroll. Now the cloud its not good enough, u have to cut ps4 power? Lmao.
