Trevor takes a look at why Dead Rising 3 might end up being the game to get come Xbox One launch.
The Dead Rising series has enjoyed a long and storied history over the years, but which game in the series is best?
Over the last week, Jake has been going back to the Dead Rising 2 Off The Record remaster and has been an absolute blast. When he was 15 he first got his Xbox 360 and Dead Rising with it, it was unlike any other experience. It made him wonder though, what happened to the Dead Rising series.
Interesting timing. This retrospective was released just a few days ago: https://youtu.be/Et-cKSrWuc...
They took away the depth and charm of the game that made it fun and interesting, and made it into a generic zombie killing game.
This was the series the got me to buy an Xbox 360. The first one was so good. It still had horror elements. As it went on it became kind of a parody. Never forget getting Zombie Genecider achievement and then restarting the game to get the Mega Buster. That thing was monstrous against enemies.
VGChartz's Patrick Day-Childs: "2020 is upon us! The past decade has had some downs, like the influx of monetisation within full games, Blizzard's community backlash and EA winning the worst company in America award twice, but also some ups, like the leaps in understanding gaming from more mainstream companies to wholesome news like gamers helping preserve a controller signed by someone’s deceased mum.
The decade has also been the highlight of some… bizarre news, and I decided collect together some of the more obscure and quirky stories to make you giggle or question what the hell happened this decade."
I've heard they are COD-ing it up.
Trying to "appeal to more people".
Because that's always worked *cough* *cough* RE6 /s.

Really hoping this pops up on the PC, even if it's years down the line.
I honestly liked both Dead Rising games for what they were... granted the only one I didn't play was the Dead Rising 2 with Frank West.. The one with Chuck I played... and I even played that little dlc extra before DR2 came out it was like 1 level and gave you a taste of what to expect in the actual game.
I think they should stay true to the series in general.. I mean they said the guy was a mechanic.. Chuck was a moto-cross guy that seemed rather smooth around engine type stuff, atleast the way he was presented anyway.. I dunno Frank and the camera in the original.. me and my friend played that shit for hours after hours for almost 3 months straight.
I really want to be excited, but...you 'guys' can have fun with it. I will stick with Dead Rising 1 and 2.
The title really should be 'Why new and old Xbox players should be excited for dead rising 3'.
I have to admit it does look good, but it doesn't look good enough to warrant buying an Xbox. I enjoyed 2 shame I won't get to play this.
