Why New and Old Players Should Be Excited For Dead Rising 3

Trevor takes a look at why Dead Rising 3 might end up being the game to get come Xbox One launch. (Dead Rising 3, E3, Xbox One)

I've heard they are COD-ing it up.
Trying to "appeal to more people".
Because that's always worked *cough* *cough* RE6 /s.

Yeah, I just saw that too. I think streamlining isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it can be. It's more of a wait and see thing. I like a lot of the features they've talked out though, and the game does look like a lot of fun. Granted, RE6 also seemed like a winner and we know how that went.

I'll definitely reserve judgement until we see more of the game but things like the colour palette look too drab and dull for a Dead Rising game. It also looks a lot more serious than the previous games which were completely goofy and unrealistic which was arguably one of the best things about Dead Rising.
I just don't get the thinking behind companys like Capcom, people that like Call Of Duty will buy Call Of Duty. Trying to bring those people to your third person zombie game is just stupid.
the game already lost the humor part.. sigh..

It still looked like DeadRising, even if it had lost some of the humor. So I'm holding out hope.

I saw them at the hater ball where all the top haters in the world get together to hate hate.
You have to pay $500 to play it.

Xbox one for me will be released on nov 2017 that is when I will buy it.

Unless it's $400 by then.

Really hoping this pops up on the PC, even if it's years down the line.

I honestly liked both Dead Rising games for what they were... granted the only one I didn't play was the Dead Rising 2 with Frank West.. The one with Chuck I played... and I even played that little dlc extra before DR2 came out it was like 1 level and gave you a taste of what to expect in the actual game.

I think they should stay true to the series in general.. I mean they said the guy was a mechanic.. Chuck was a moto-cross guy that seemed rather smooth around engine type stuff, atleast the way he was presented anyway.. I dunno Frank and the camera in the original.. me and my friend played that shit for hours after hours for almost 3 months straight.

Dead Rising 2: Off The Record was amazing! If you can ever find it new or used, grab it. I'm still playing it to this day.

I really want to be excited, but...you 'guys' can have fun with it. I will stick with Dead Rising 1 and 2.

The title really should be 'Why new and old Xbox players should be excited for dead rising 3'.
I have to admit it does look good, but it doesn't look good enough to warrant buying an Xbox. I enjoyed 2 shame I won't get to play this.

Not into Dead Rising, purchased part 1 and 2, both games I never beat, stopped playing after about 3 hrs into it. DR3 looks even worst, I personal think Dead Island is a better game.

And the reason we shouldn't b excited: Its only on Xbone
Bonerboy  +   623d ago
It does look pretty cool...though I wont be playing it on MS's scambox. Oh well.

Might be a good game, too bad its on the wrong console.

i own all dr's and i think this one will fit nicely in the series. the series keeps getting more epic each time. just hope there is a snow blower or lawn mower in there since they were my favs next to bowling balls and golf clubs ah hell i liked it all.

Might as well ignore anything about this one because I'm not gonna play it anywhere near release.
