This week on Zero Punctuation, Zack & Wiki and a whole lot of dongs.
"For one reason or another, certain games simply aren't as revered as they should be so I asked our staff and friends of the site what they think the most underrated game of all time is and here's what we had to say." - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums
Some that I could think of:
1. Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky
2. King of Dragons
3. Project: Snowblind
4. Kirby: Canvas Curse
5. Jazz Jack Rabbit 2
6. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
7. Jojos Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle
8. ZHP: Unlosing Ranger vs. Darkdeath Evilman
9. Axelay
10. Liero
11. Bloody Roar 2
12. Ridge Racer: Slipstream
13. Fracture
14. Ninja Gaiden Shadow
15. Dead Space: Extraction
Underrated gems?
* Legend of Heroes - A Tear of Vermillion
* Goemon - Mystical Ninja 64
* Nostalgia = DS rpg similar to old school FF/DQ games.
*.......Too many others to list, My list could easily be 300+ games. I've been gaming since atari 2600 in the late 80's, so I've played a ton of hidden gems.
ohhh just remember possibly the most hidden gem.....
Mappy Land for NES.......not mappy world.....Mappy Land = awesome game.
Kotaku: "Adventure games began as some of the earliest attempts at bridging novels and gameplay. The best of them challenge notions of traditional story-telling and immerse players into the narrative with quirky characters and puzzle-solving. This list explores the obscure adventure games that deserve sequels. Any adventure games that already have sequels won't be considered."
Sean Halliday of Pixel Gate writes:
''For every blockbuster title that garners high praise and sales, there a number of games that fly under the radar. There’s plenty of great titles that have plenty to offer but, for numerous reasons, never get the love and attention they deserve. This isn’t the definitive list of the most overlooked games; it’s merely a look at few of them.''
I'm glad Chinatown Wars is there. This is one of the best GTAs in the series. Right up there with 5 and SA. Get the DS version. You won't be disappointed. Also like to add that the wanted system in GTACTW is by far my favorite of any GTA.
I think mine would be
Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom
Tastunoko V Capcom
House of the Dead Overkill
Deadly Premonition
Sam and Max
Honestly I think this last gen had a lot of overlooked titles or at least titles that didn't see the amount of sales they should have. It makes me worry for the future of the current generation.
The Club might have been a new idea , but it doesnt mean that all of those are good .
And Deadly preomonition was hardly overlooked . It's a game that had a bigger than expected and deserved success based on the weird hype "that's it so bad you gotta play it and gonna love it" (an opinion i dont share)
Really liked WWE All Stars, never got to play it online as the servers went down by the time I picked it up.
Hilarious as always.
but his reviews for GTA4 / mgs4 should be amazing
and I guess he will bash square fans during a crisis core review of he does one and that always fun
I liked the review all his complaints are actual good complaints with the game, though the hand crank stick out as one of the few that didnt seem to work with logical motions. Overall a good review on his part, takes his cheap shots as always but you know people expect him to it what he is known for.
I think some poeples problem is they take his reviews to seriously and dont know how to laugh at some of the things he points out. They are not supposed to be serious lets face it hes not exactly doing this on CNN.
lol....kinda funny...and I love this game btw
Not as funny as usual. He needs to play a game he truly hates.
