Watch Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Playing and Breaking on PS4

The problem with doing a presentation live on a game that isn’t finished and a platform that isn’t out is that things don’t always go as planned. - PSLS (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, E3, PS4)

Yeh, just like when BF4 wouldn't start at MS conference
Elit3Nick  +   808d ago
Although that was audio issues, which happened earlier during crimson dragon's reveal, although this could've simply been the video lagging, if that wasn't actual gameplay
B-radical  +   808d ago
bf4 was a video tho :/
aCasualGamer  +   808d ago
Still, you expect some fucking testing before the actual event, you know?

This shit shouldn't have happened if they played through the demo a good 3-4 times before the actual event.

That was so embarrassing to watch.

Wasn't that running on PC though? So wouldn't it be the PC messing up?

"The problem with doing a presentation live on a game that isn’t finished and a platform that isn’t out is that things don’t always go as planned." Guaranteed people are going to ignore this statement when commenting. You heard it hear first.

Lol that part caught me by surprise. At first I thought my web browser crashed or it was loading the stream
baodeus  +   808d ago
yeah same here, but i start noticing his head was moving, so i was like WTF is going on?
Xaphy  +   808d ago
doesnt look next gen.
2pacalypsenow  +   808d ago
Most first Generation games for next gen dont look amazing especially if they are a port of current gen games which this one looks like it might be . It will most likely just be in higher resolution and with higher textures.

Xaphy now you know how PC gamers feel when they get console ports.

Obviously the PS4 version is a PS3/360 port.

Lol, AC games are always buggy... This shouldn't surprise people. As much as I love them, they've got problems.
azshorty2003  +   808d ago
They had an E3 demo crash on, I think it was AC2.
LordMaim  +   808d ago
It could have been smoother. But hey, at least we proved that it was running in real time and not pre-recorded. It looked pretty awesome while it was running. Get your shit together before November, Ubisoft!
isarai  +   808d ago
Hey, shit happens, it's not like they are going to release the game that completely freezes all the time, shit will be fixed by release
CaptainYesterday  +   808d ago
I did cringe also laughed at the guys reaction but hey it's a live event stuff happens it's fine and the game looks really awesome :)
Eldyraen  +   808d ago
He went from 'what can you do?' to looking quite dejected at the end--the way he was standing just said it all for me.

Even knowing its always a risk it has to be hugely embarrassing when it happens so feel sorry for him and the team both. Same goes for Battlefield at MS's although it wasn't quite so bad. Its not the first time for things like this to happen though and likely not the last.
MrAnderson  +   808d ago
Looks like they got some optimizing to do, still what I actually saw looked fine
r21  +   808d ago
What if it was....gaikai but just being wonky :O
That or the system just had some hiccups.

FULL DEMO WITH NO LAG HERE....and apparently we didn't miss much

Well that video proves that it was a video that was lagging and not the game freezing. because that was the same demo shown at sony conference with no lag.

@edit
Yeah your right. went back and watched it.

It's not the same. There are differences in them.
CrossingEden  +   808d ago
yeah, the guy playing the e3 demo must have been nervous cause he made a good amount of mistakes
Geezus  +   808d ago
same thing happened with bf3 and the microsoft conference...sh-t happens at live events theyre not final build games so its kinda expected!
RM-TatoTiburon  +   808d ago
if that happened in the xbox one show this site would be on fire right now

That was an epic fail and destiny was lagy too....but i just made my preorder, looking forward for more games, the xbox one have more games at launch and i know sony will deliver
Mir9122  +   808d ago
As if I care about anothe assassin's creed game, as far as all of the other games showed im satisfied and not even the least bothered by the tech malfunctions.
cunnilumpkin  +   808d ago
ouch, looks like its running at 20 frames......ewww

needs a lot of work
Loki86  +   808d ago
Yeah but it also happened during the Watch Dogs and Destiny demo, not nearly as bad but still evident.
