Microsoft announced today during its 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo briefing that Ryse--now called Ryse: Son of Rome--will not require Kinect.
Good decision is good.
Agreed. This game now has my attention thanks to no Kinect.
Wow....yeah Ryse was my favorite.
It will probably still be heavy on Kinect-oriented design decisions after all that dev time, though.
was QTE. so...it will be like Heavy Rain?
No those were finishing moves. Just seen a GT post presser interview you don't have to use the finishing moves. There are combos and skill leveling etc. Dev said they played the game like that and edited it because of time.
Probably for the better.
They probably couldn't get it to work with Kinect! Think about how long they've been talking about this game.
Kinect has never functioned at 100% satisfaction. I will be impressed when it does.
U know I might have missed it but I didn't see a single game have anything to do with Kinect
A few voice commands here and there, but that was it. Awesome.
It looks like it went from Kinect exclusive to QTE exclusive.
Probably a good way to replace the Kinect features quickly
this game looked sgi to me!
Now people are going to complain that Kinect doesn't have any games worth getting.
This game looked great. there was no QTE but finishing moves.
Ryse came out better than I was expecting to be honest and am glad for it. It looks highly cinematic and just hope it plays as well as it looks.
but now it is QTE exclusive :D
Lol every One owner is forced to pay for a buttonless tv remote at the cost of hardware power.
