That wasn't even Snake, that was Jack Bauer, the voice was so bad.

It was amazing to look at and watch and yet the voice detracted so much from what I was watching.

PS4 version it is!

Looks OK , no more impressive than the night time in rain footage running on current gen console he showed a while back IMO.

Looks OK??? I understand you are a little bit pissed about the game being shown at the MS conference, but any reasonable person can see that the game looked amazing!

No Hayter, no buy.

You will miss out, you keep forgetting that even though his voice is iconic that doesn't define snake.
Shadowstar  +   461d ago
Yeah, I'm with you. Except I know I'll break, which makes me sad, since it looks like they've replaced the whole cast.

I'm going to try for the Japanese version.
sync90  +   461d ago
So you prefer to miss out on what will be most prob a great game, because they sacked some guy you've never meet in your life. good decision!
Temporary  +   461d ago
Guess you'll be missing out on a great game just cause of your man-crush.

Hearing kiefers voice in that trailer just didn't sit well with me, I guess I need to get used to it.
PerryCaravello  +   461d ago
I'm not hearing a lot of "actual ingame footage/gameplay"

All of this is rendered?

wut? all of this is actual gameplay.
One_Eyed_Wizard  +   461d ago
It is rendered, yes, in real time. Kojima never does pre-rendered.
PerryCaravello  +   461d ago
I actually meant the overall ms conference. I realized it might be a bit confusing, considering it was in the mgs thread.

I believe mgs is real time lol.
One_Eyed_Wizard  +   461d ago
My bad. But you're right. Some of the other trailers seem pre-rendered.
Gamemax  +   461d ago
Oh my god mgs on xbox one shocked

Wow this is going to be more epic than we imagined. In kojima I trust.

Edit: I'm confused, so this is NOT coming to ps3? Only next gen?

No, it just this all but confirms it'll be on PS4 as well. But he's said a couple times it'll be on PS3.

Looks like Ocelot & Kaz also got a new VA. But so far so good. I liked the theme song 'Sins of the Father' by Donna Burke.

360 vs XBone
Im really curious on how different the versions of Mgs5 will be. I rather just buy the game on 360 so i wont have to upgrade my console, but if the game is really THAT much better on xbone then i might just break..

Looks sick, can't wait man. Always been one my favorite series ever. Looks like they really went all out for next gen.
RowSand  +   461d ago
COOL COOL, lets have that on Board, the game looks unique from other MGs games wht i used to, even tho it reminds me of rdr in some area;)

I am not a fan of the series and this impressed the hell out of me!
teedogg80  +   461d ago
You should seriously consider getting into the MGS series. You're missing out on one of gaming's top series. Go out and pick up the HD collection, you won't regret it.
CDbiggen  +   461d ago
As usual the plot and characters just look silly and downright cringy.
Kleptic  +   461d ago
MGS has always had a self-aware cheese about it..if I had never played any of the past games in the series, i would completely agree with you...but i promise, it somehow fits the universe once you get in to it...Kojima is the only dude i've witnessed that is able to successfully bridge the gap between Japanese entertainment, and the rest of the world...which might as well be different planets if you ever looked closely at it...

and even then, it doesn't always work flawlessly...MGS2 and all the emo-Raiden bs almost made me never play another...but glad i did...If you just accept that nearly every single aspect of the games have a ridiculously methodical decision behind them; you'll quickly see why they're such a big deal...few games are as organized and planned as much as these...

I'd say thats the main reason i'm ok with all this negative Hayter related spot light...I played and enjoyed the games because Kojima is brilliant...not because one guy voiced the part for so many years...if Kojima changed it, i trust it, at least from what i've seen so far...

As long as it retains the quality of older MGS games then I'm gonna get it.. So far it looks promising..

At 4:53 Is Big Boss talking to himself. Another clone?
mrmancs  +   461d ago
Can't understand the disagrees with my above comment , I said it looks no more impressive than the night time in the rain footage showed a while back, which was incredible , certainly considering it was running on hardware akin to current gen.... ?? Surely there will be a graphical gain of some sort over this gen hardware using this engine? Which was really the point I was getting at , it was used in the next gen Xbox showing , but looking at the night time in rain footage that was akin to this gen hardware running it... It looked on par!?
