The Best Dragons in Gaming

As mythological monsters, dragons stretch back hundreds of years and stem from both European and Asian culture. The eternal link between dragons and a heroic champion overcoming them was just too obvious to translate into a video game. They've been part of our industry long before gaming was even a conceivable industry to start with. (3DS, Culture, Nintendo DS, PC, PS3, PSP, Wii, Xbox 360)

I liked Dragon God. It was hilarious when I waited for him to traditionally breathe fire only to be punched in the face.
Oh... I remember that -_______-

*enters fog*

(Dragon God being all badass)

Me: Woah, o_o cooooool :o

Dragon God: rawr *swings arm*

Me: :O,,,,,,,,,,,

Rinse & repeat 8 more times :/

The baby dragon from Tekken that could burb or fart?

Paarthurnax for me, personally. I viewed him more like a mentor than a character in a game.

Not only is Bowser not a dragon, he's not meant to resemble one. He's meant to resemble a turtle.

>no mention of Grigori from Dragon's Dogma
>Bowser is on the list despite being based on a turtle
>said the final battle against Alduin was one of his favorite boss battles, which was in a game that is often criticized for its combat
>said Bahamut was the strongest in all the games he was in (pretty sure there were stronger optional summons in FFX, though he was definitely the coolest IMO)

Everything else I agree (especially Spyro), good list.

In fact, Charizard isn't a dragon either. He/she/it's a Pokemon. Charizard isn't even a dragon TYPE.

that dragon from dark souls, he scared the sh*t out of me the first time I saw him.
Soldierone  +   900d ago
Spyro when he was with Insomniac. If you include after that, then he loses a little bit of points.

So Bowser is on there but nothing from Monster Hunter

"[Spyro] is not really all that lovable and, in reality, his games have never represented anything near the pinnacle of gaming... The PS1 games, while never truly great, had a certain charm and appeal that made them so easily playable"

THE FUCK?!I loved the character, and the games were my childhood.

They were amazing games

Alduin looks alot like red eyes black dragon... again monster hunter Rathalos super iconic for me and last but not least all the dragons from the dragovian trials from dragon quest.
