Developer Interview: WayForward Talks Mighty Switch Force 2

"WayForward is one of the best known developers on Nintendo's download stores, making its name most prominently on portable platforms. It's a studio with many strings to its bow, including numerous retail releases on various platforms for other publishers, but it's arguably the company's own self-published IPs that have contributed the most to a loyal fan base.

WayForward Turns 25, Teases Incoming ‘Fun’

WayForward turned 25 yesterday, March 1st. To celebrate being around for a quarter century, the Shantae developer is teasing some type of incoming “fun.” Founded in 1990, WayForward got its start in the SNES era of gaming. It has developed more than 200 titles and continues to support Nintendo systems with multiplatform games and exclusives alike. One of its latest releases, Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse, is available only on the Nintendo eShop for both Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. WayForward creative director Matt Bozon recently attributed the studio’s success to longtime Nintendo fans.
