Sony Sends a Message with Slick PlayStation Developer T-Shirts

Push Square: "Sony’s really eager to establish the PlayStation brand as a developer-friendly environment. The company has spent the past year or so recruiting smaller studios to its platforms, and it’s made an even stronger push in that space over the past six months. In order to underline its close relationship with indie outfits, the company will be sporting these rather fetching t-shirts during E3." (Culture, PS Vita, PS3, PS4)

I wouldn't wear these.I'd frame them on my wall.
fourOeightshark  +   398d ago
I want to wear that blue one.
blackbeld  +   397d ago
I agree with Majin-Vegeta,

If you wear this on the street xbone fans might hit you.

You do know xbone fans are extremely violent teenagers do you?
LeRise  +   397d ago
I'd wear the black one.
'No hurdles, just games. PS <3 Devs'
Very promising.

Can you feel the love in here?
Godmars290  +   397d ago
Yeah. At this rate they'll be able to skirt the used games issue until its actually implemented.

Still want one of those shirts. Damn my corporate chattel eyes...

csreynolds  +   398d ago
I need one of these in my life. Where can you get them?
Convas  +   398d ago
Hey hey, wait. The guy who designed these shirts also designed the Polygon logo. Those guys are in MS' pocket!!!

Can't have that folks, we have to disown this guy based on his association with Polygon.

it's like all those great marketing folks that worked for the ps1 and 2 came back full force.
Minato-Namikaze  +   398d ago
Especially Phil harrsion. Maybe he was the "Agent" that sony meant when they revealed it at e3, lol.
McScroggz  +   397d ago
Sony fired their old marketing firm around January/February and hired the people who marketed Google Chrome, Sprite and Axe body spray.

So far, I'd say it's about a 400,000% increase. Estimated, of course.
E2S  +   397d ago
really? that explains it. Chrome, Sprite, and Axe have some great commercials and ads.
r21  +   398d ago
Now that is neat, wish i could go there. I think imma just get those free virtual shirts for the E3 PS home space. Btw, people if you visit the E3 home space, you get free dynamic themes of TLOU and Beyond Two Souls, and also if you've a vita, they're also having early access to the KZ Mercernary beta: http://i.imgur.com/pFqmNIJ....

Just in case anyone wants free stuff for their ps3s and vitas :)
sly-Famous  +   397d ago
I want one with Butler's face on it! :)
reaper24  +   397d ago
Who do I want to support? A company that cares for devs an gamers? Or one that treats the fans like pirates?
Ethereal  +   397d ago
I love Sony. That's just straight awesome. It is and always should be about the games. PS4 was built with the gamer and dev in mind. Im in!
Godlovesgamers  +   397d ago
If by "developer friendly" I hope they don't mean...

"willing to screw over consumers like M$ is for the sake of the developer/publisher"
Narutone66  +   397d ago
No, Sony is courting the small indie developers, not the big publishers/developers like EA, Activision, etc. Makes me wonder, since those big publishers/developers are pushing for draconian DRM, Sony is distancing themselves from them and thus courting the small indie developers.
Godlovesgamers  +   396d ago
Good comment and I agree with you, that conclusion just came to me as well.

But only time will tell and we'll know for sure if Sony implements the same used game policy through it's first party developers.

After all Sony did follow suit with online passes a little while after EA started in with and let's face it any adult knows that a company's first loyalty is to itself and money not it's consumers or fans.

I would like Sony to prove me wrong in this case though.

That is awesome.. "No hurdles, just games."

Well played, well played.. *slow clap*
lucidity  +   397d ago
One presumes, then, that they can't have any nonsense DRM required for games on their box. Or that black shirt is dumb.
