Here's A Pretty Crazy Conspiracy Theory About Metal Gear Solid V

Kotaku - Many Metal Gear Solid fans aren't exactly happy that David Hayter will not—as far as we can tell—be reprising his role as Snake in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V. That much isn't surprising. Amusingly, the inability to let Hayter go has led some fans to concoct a ridiculous conspiracy theory about what's actually happening with MGSV.

The story is too old to be commented.

If this all are true, then it's gonna be sooooo awesome when Kojima release the trailer at E3 with David Hayter's voice in Big Boss to surprise us

Gameatholon1991d ago (Edited 1991d ago )

To everyone who said Kojima was trolling everyone, you honestly still believe that now and it is all an elaborate hoax. Man some of these guys are up there with those nutters who think the Boston Marathon was faked.

It really is amazing, some of the comments on forums, boycotting the game, even going as far to believing Mr.Hayter will return as Solid Snake. #letitgoalready

Go back, listen to the interview again, Kojima explains WHY they chose to do this. Basically in the nicest way possible they said that David Hayter isn't good enough to pull of the subtleties in acting.

Chill bro! Don't compare them to the boston bomber folk! They are just hardcore fans and can't except the truth yet. Let them see at e3.....

Wagz221991d ago

I can't really blame people for thinking that there might be something more. Look how they teased MGSV, by calling it The Phantom Pain and advertised it like that for months saying it has nothing to do with Metal Gear...and then it was Metal Gear. So we aren't out of the woods yet, there might be more surprises at E3.

@Gameatholon you don't know Kojima. Kojima's always be master of troll. And there's a hints too.

David Hayter himself said that he is going to E3. Maybe if this all true, Sutherland will voicing Snake in MGS movie or Ishmael in MGS V.

Heavenly King1991d ago (Edited 1991d ago )

In the end Kojima loves to troll his fanbase, so I still think Hayter will perform as Snake. If not, he will still be in the game and perform as young Solidus Snake.

dumahim1991d ago

I think that's a bit off, but in the comments a better story unfolds.

In the GDC hospial escape demo, Sutherland is clearly doing the voice for Ishmael (the head bandage guy), and not the playable character that's presumably Big Boss.
In today's Konami video, if you look at it differently, one could see it has been edited in a way to give you the impression Sutherland is the new Snake, but they never show him doing a voice for the character. Under his name they list just "Snake" and not Big Boss.

Maybe there's going to be another clone, but I think it's clear there's still some Shenanigans going on.

Heavenly King1991d ago

The only clone to be in "combat age" is Solidus. Solid and liquid are too young.

Either Hayter will perform BB or Solidus snake.

dumahim1991d ago

When was Solidus first known to be in combat? All I can find is late 80s. This is supposed to be 1984 and he'd be 12 years old as well, but a bit advanced. Even if it's Solidus, he'd still be pretty young.

i dont know about you guys... i like kiefer... i like david... no matter who is voicing who... this game will still be day 1 for me....

In the hospital escape gameplay "Ishmael" was voiced by Keifer, Snake (or who ever it was) sounded like Keifer just doing a batman voice. Now its confirmed that Keifer is voicing snake *head explodes*
