Nick Ridgway has relaunched a Kickstarter for his Metroidvania-styled game Endica VII The Dream King. The original Kickstarter failed to reach funding, but Nick has returned again with a very modest goal of $1,400.
Megan Myrick writes: "Endica VII The Dream King got its start back in May 2013, and its first demo followed not too soon after on June 6 of that year. The year was marked with promising progress and two successful campaigns. However, progress started to slow around the end of November, 2014. Around this time, the developer let backers know the game would be pushed to 2015."
There are plenty of Metroidvania games on the market right now, but very few of them are anything like Dream Within Studios "The Dream King". And please allow me (Robin Ek, The Gaming Ground) to tell you why.
Serena Nelson writes: "As far as the rest of the ports it's planned to try to get them out at around the same time if possible, but most likely be closer to the end of the year. Hopefully sooner. And, with "enough success and momentum", it's hoped that Endica VII The Dream King will see the light of day on Playstation 3, 4, Xbox One, and Vita as well."
Might be a pretty fun game... off some indica... :D
