Rare has added pages on their website for Killer Instinct, Battletoads, and Banjo. Could this be a sign of something to come from these series or nothing at all?

If they bring back Battletoads I will faint, I have not seen anything from Battletoads in well over a decade

Killer Instinct by Nether Realm would be great.

Tough. its going to be Rare.

A company named Rare which no longer has any of its original developers who will be working on a new iteration of titles decades old.

"A company named Rare which no longer has any of its original developers who will be working on a new iteration of titles decades old."

What does this have to do with anything? It's a moot and obvious point. Companies grow, age, hire people as others move on in life and so on and so forth. It's the same everywhere! You can't expect the same dev team to stay together forever, the world doesn't work like that. What matters is if the company maintains a quality product through the years, this is where good management comes into play. Good management will demand a good product no matter who stays and who leaves the company.

"It's a moot and obvious point."

No. It is a moot and *irrelevant* that a company which bares a certain name will be revisiting games the current workforce had nothing to do with. Nevermind again that the differences between when those games were popular and now may as well be millennial, not merely decades.

Yes, the games about to be announce may and likely will be good, but the only resemblance they'll have to the old titles will be the basic character designs. Maybe not even that.

All I'm saying is that its pointless to put any faith in the games. That while it could result in millions of sales for MS, three months if not three days afterwards there could be articles about falling for hype or worth their review scores.

Because THAT'S never happened before. Especially at the beginning of a console cycle.
