Isaac Wagner: "It's not hard to imagine another 5-10 years of trite first-person shooter hell when I see Killzone: Shadow Fall and Call of Duty: Ghosts leading the charge at next generation press conferences, but then a game like Call of Juarez: Gunslinger comes around, the latest entry in a franchise I thought buried after the abysmal-looking Call of Juarez: The Cartel, and shows that there might still be something novel about this whole shooting guys thing. That there might be still some special light past the modern military man with his modern military man gun. Like the glint of two revolvers and the untrustworthy sparkle of an old man's fading memory."
