Today Square Enix released a large batch of screenshots of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, that will be available at retail for both PS3 and Xbox 360, but digitally only on PSN.
I like how Sony is really pushing digital distribution on consoles.
While I personally like physical copies, I will admit that Steam is slowly pulling me on the other side of the moat. I'm glad that they're offering an alternative to the usual trip to Gamestop right at launch.
Steam was my first digital distribution source and I ended up liking it. So, now I buy most of my PS3 games digital with the exception of larger games like The Last of Us. Also sharing is a big factor of why I buy digital games from PSN. Nothing beats going 50/50 on a new release.
@SOD_Delta: I would never share my PSN credential, way too risky for my taste lol. It's mostly a matter of convenience, and the fact that in the end I'm seriously running out of space. I think I have about 400 videogame boxes scattered around my room :D
@Abriael I share with a family member whom I see daily. So I'm not taking any risk. I too would not share my account with someone I don't personally know. That's a lot of games. I was collecting my games, but I ended up selling them to get the newest releases. Now I'm down to 13 physical games. At one point I had around sixty physical games.
Looking forward to play this game. I just want a conclusion to FFXIII series due the FFXIII-2's ending.
Sad to see I have to wait until 2014.
The game looks promising.
