IGN: Breaking down what could be our Worst Nightmares for this year's Sony E3 Press Conference in just 60 seconds.
I don't want the Vita to ignored. They'll show off games, sure, but I really want Sony to go all-out with the Vita. I want to be blown away.
Agreed. And looking forward to that super amazing vita title to be announced as well. Just announce tons of great exclusives and a worldwide price drop on vita and memory cards and the rest will write itself.
I'm pretty sure Sonys already said all PS4 games will be playable with remote play. That's ill I need to hear from them about the PSV.
While that's a really awesome feature, I personally wouldn't buy a Vita just for that.
@dedicated Vita E3 2014 New model, huge franchises, New IP's, price cut, new innovations.
After watching the video I complete disagree with PS Home being on the list. Home has huge potential, but Sony has failed to master it. Home could easily be the selling point to the mainstream Sony needs, but it needs to be completely revamped into a seamless and enjoyable experience.
DRM, Wonder Book, a lack of PS4 chassis, too many F2P/P2W games, and focus on motion controls. And chances are Sony will avoid these like the black plague. Gonna be a good E3 for everyone. Can't wait for Monday.
Wonderbook is surprisingly not doing terribly.
For us wonderbook isnt something we'd, But kids love these type of experiences and it can be a great way to bond with them.
Unfortunately I can't reply to Minato the troll but I guess this will suffice. Sales wise I never questioned it, it's just not something we typically see from Sony, clearly people took what I said out of context, something easily missed on the internet. Hey Minato "For us wonderbook isnt something we'd, But kids love these type of experiences and it can be a great way to bond with them." Odd considering you troll Kinect as if you would die if you didn't. Nice case of double standards dude, you're one pathetic gamer.
"too many F2P/P2W games" You say that like it's a bad business decision. Sony is probably noticing that mmo/f2p games have been blowing up on PC and smartphones for the last decade (at least). And yet, that market segment has been completely neglected by all three consoles. If Sony can get a foothold in the f2p market and become the go-to fp2 console, we're talking about 10s of millions of potential customers.
No P2W games just suck, it just wouldn't look good if Sony endorsed a bunch of them, plain and simple. Business wise it's all the wiser, clearly it's a money maker, it's the quality of said games that's the problem. Paying to win is exactly my problem. F2P games can be done correctly, ala League of Legends. Or they can go the pay to win route, ala most others modern F2P games.
I can't wait to play PlanetSide 2 on the PS4. That game was so addicting and I only ever spent $20 on a few upgrades, you can unlock everything else with patience.
See the F2P/P2W thing would've been the norm back in say 2006 when these types of games were starting out, and people wanted ways to make money. But now, LoL, DoTA 2, Planetside 2, and many, many others have shown us that Free to play games can be successful and have no pay to win elements. Other notable mentions are Maplestory, TF2, even Blacklight Retribution has worked hard to make itself as fair as possible.
i don't know why you're getting so many disagrees because those are all of the things they *should* avoid this E3... wonderbook was a terrible moment in their presentation last year (worse than usher dancing on stage), and i would rather not have them repeat it ever again. and to clarify what i wrote to you a few days ago (since you didn't actually give me an opportunity to respond): i said *could*, not *would*... meaning that there's a chance (albeit, small) that they make the same, egregious error of focusing on kinect games instead of doing the right thing by showing solid, core games. so my statement wasn't conjecture, as you accused it of being, since i didn't say that the new IPs *would* be all kinect-based. do i think the 7 new IPs we didn't see during the reveal are all going to be kinect-based? not at all, but it stands to reason that there is a possibility (i.e. could) that you can probably expect to see at least 1 kinect game out of the 7 new IPs that we haven't seen. it also doesn't really look like they're changing their stance on kinect from this gen to the next. if anything, they've strengthened their push of the device by making it an integral component of the console, which is why there's the distinct possibility that some of the new IPs will be kinect-based. so, it's not a subjective opinion, it's an opinion based on the observation of what was presented to us on the 21st of may.
Wonderbook. It's what the cool kids are doing.
and here i thought these electric hookas were the "in" thing
no $599 US dollars! no gimmicks no DRM
please no ridge racer
Ahh come on man Ridge racer is a classic
I hope this is a great generation with a lot of backpedalling concerning used game policies. A win for everyone. and one more thing, I am not a fan of EA, but I would either love an old style Burnout (not open world, the return of crash junctions) or at least a burnout collection. and of course, plenty of new and interesting games. (I hate saying IP's, it's so anal retentive corporate speak.)
No CRM please
are you friggin kiddin me? it must be just me who thinks home is awesome. I spent so much time in that virtual world interacting with other gamers and meeting awesome people, and im so excited about the new possibilities with the ps4 and gaikai. I'm praying ps4 gets home especially since ps3's version was apparently a beta
Home is a nice distraction for me when i do play, but the loading kills me. I think with all the ram in the PS4 home could be taken to another level by getting rid of loading times, making the whole experience seamless, and really provide a large community feeling if they excute all the right moves.
The loading time kills you? I thought you were the yellow flash and could teleoport in no time ;)
blah, forget it :( 8(
Yes HOME is an awesome virtual world. Think about into an virtual world that have everything you could asked for.Think about chilling at an Home hotspot then out of nowhere an bomb goes off or someone randomly starts an rampage.Somehow you survive and now you have an option too helps those in need or too hunt down those responsible for these crime. I know that an huge dream but having an truly real-time VR game would be insane...
I don't even go on Home anymore but I'm still on your page with this. They most definitely SHOULD show or tell us about their plans for Home. The video was okay up until that last point, which btw had no elaboration. This guys personal preference does not speak for everyone. Home has made Sony lots of money and many have in turn spent lots of money on Homes virtual content. They need to address their PS4 plans for Home.
With everything Sony have been doing lately.I think we will see atleast 6 new exclusives reveal at this year E3.I can see alot of titles that was teased years ago will finally have some type of gameplay shown.Sony I dont know what you have been planning these past couple of years. But I'm excited too see whats in store for the future.... People just think about all the titles that have been confirmed just today for the PS4.E3 still 5 days away and Sony is releasing info about titles people said couldnt come too the PS4 lol wow Next-Gen = Amazing Awaits
