I don't want the Vita to ignored.

They'll show off games, sure, but I really want Sony to go all-out with the Vita. I want to be blown away.

ApolloTheBoss1654d ago (Edited 1654d ago )

Agreed. And looking forward to that super amazing vita title to be announced as well. Just announce tons of great exclusives and a worldwide price drop on vita and memory cards and the rest will write itself.

I'm pretty sure Sonys already said all PS4 games will be playable with remote play. That's ill I need to hear from them about the PSV.

Firan1653d ago

While that's a really awesome feature, I personally wouldn't buy a Vita just for that.

Vita E3 2014

New model, huge franchises, New IP's, price cut, new innovations.

ABizzel11653d ago

After watching the video I complete disagree with PS Home being on the list. Home has huge potential, but Sony has failed to master it. Home could easily be the selling point to the mainstream Sony needs, but it needs to be completely revamped into a seamless and enjoyable experience.

UNGR1654d ago

DRM, Wonder Book, a lack of PS4 chassis, too many F2P/P2W games, and focus on motion controls. And chances are Sony will avoid these like the black plague. Gonna be a good E3 for everyone. Can't wait for Monday.

HammadTheBeast1654d ago

Wonderbook is surprisingly not doing terribly.

Minato-Namikaze1654d ago

For us wonderbook isnt something we'd, But kids love these type of experiences and it can be a great way to bond with them.

UNGR1654d ago

Unfortunately I can't reply to Minato the troll but I guess this will suffice. Sales wise I never questioned it, it's just not something we typically see from Sony, clearly people took what I said out of context, something easily missed on the internet.

Hey Minato
"For us wonderbook isnt something we'd, But kids love these type of experiences and it can be a great way to bond with them." Odd considering you troll Kinect as if you would die if you didn't. Nice case of double standards dude, you're one pathetic gamer.

"too many F2P/P2W games"

You say that like it's a bad business decision. Sony is probably noticing that mmo/f2p games have been blowing up on PC and smartphones for the last decade (at least). And yet, that market segment has been completely neglected by all three consoles. If Sony can get a foothold in the f2p market and become the go-to fp2 console, we're talking about 10s of millions of potential customers.

UNGR1654d ago

No P2W games just suck, it just wouldn't look good if Sony endorsed a bunch of them, plain and simple. Business wise it's all the wiser, clearly it's a money maker, it's the quality of said games that's the problem. Paying to win is exactly my problem. F2P games can be done correctly, ala League of Legends. Or they can go the pay to win route, ala most others modern F2P games.

Krew_921653d ago

I can't wait to play PlanetSide 2 on the PS4.

That game was so addicting and I only ever spent $20 on a few upgrades, you can unlock everything else with patience.

HammadTheBeast1654d ago

See the F2P/P2W thing would've been the norm back in say 2006 when these types of games were starting out, and people wanted ways to make money.

But now, LoL, DoTA 2, Planetside 2, and many, many others have shown us that Free to play games can be successful and have no pay to win elements.

Other notable mentions are Maplestory, TF2, even Blacklight Retribution has worked hard to make itself as fair as possible.

ziggurcat1654d ago

i don't know why you're getting so many disagrees because those are all of the things they *should* avoid this E3... wonderbook was a terrible moment in their presentation last year (worse than usher dancing on stage), and i would rather not have them repeat it ever again.

and to clarify what i wrote to you a few days ago (since you didn't actually give me an opportunity to respond):

i said *could*, not *would*... meaning that there's a chance (albeit, small) that they make the same, egregious error of focusing on kinect games instead of doing the right thing by showing solid, core games. so my statement wasn't conjecture, as you accused it of being, since i didn't say that the new IPs *would* be all kinect-based.

do i think the 7 new IPs we didn't see during the reveal are all going to be kinect-based? not at all, but it stands to reason that there is a possibility (i.e. could) that you can probably expect to see at least 1 kinect game out of the 7 new IPs that we haven't seen.

it also doesn't really look like they're changing their stance on kinect from this gen to the next. if anything, they've strengthened their push of the device by making it an integral component of the console, which is why there's the distinct possibility that some of the new IPs will be kinect-based. so, it's not a subjective opinion, it's an opinion based on the observation of what was presented to us on the 21st of may.
