Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - Who Is The New Voice of Solid Snake?

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain sees the end of an era.
Controversy sparked when after the trailer was released, David Hayter tweeted that he was not asked to reprise his role as the voice of protagonist Naked Snake aka Big Boss. (Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Next-Gen, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360)

Hayter will always be Solid Snake. Since the character is as good as done at this point (as far as we know), that probably means cameos, spin-offs, re-records or nothing at all.

Sutherland would be a good Big Boss. It'd be different, but I think he's got the range to pull it off. Aside from him, I'm guessing that the voice recast might have something to do with the movie. They're going to try and have the same guy do it across multiple mediums.

That at least would make sense as to why they've allowed the Japanese actor to continue doing the Japanese dub.

Yeah you bring up a good point, I hadn't even considered how the movie would affect the game. Kojima is known for trolling us immensely so we'll see.

Not likely, probably another troll. Sutherland will be playing the voice of the bandaged man, not Big Boss.

I think Snake should die, while inside a Metal Gear.

If MGSV uses a nx gen fox engine, why isnt it going on nx gen consoles??? E3 surprise w a dual gen release i hope

It's obvious that it will be on the next-gen. Sure, it has not been announced but the gameplay that we've seen is obviously running from a high end development unit. We will probably get that experience on the next-gen consoles.

We will also get the games on current gen, but it will have lower visual fidelity.

Thats what im assuming will happen.. Im very curious as to how much of a lower visual fidelity it will have.. Is the new engine scaleable to where it will still look pretty good on current gen machines? I want the PS4 version to blow it out of the water if its an engine thats going to be used for the nx 8 yrs
