What does that mean?

cleft51994d ago (Edited 1994d ago )

It means they are getting rid of the Basic bundle but don't want to call it that. But yeah it is pretty funny that they just wont admit it. The whole idea of multiple skews is just a bad one anyways. Either sell one skew and make people pay more or sell two skews with one being at a significantly reduced price point.

It means that noone buys the 8gb so stores have way too many of them. Hence nintendo is taking some of them back and sending out more premium ones as well as hopefully in the future white premiums. This would result in more balance between the the stocks of the the two consoles.

Their using a leveling system to make sure the stock is in perfect balance, LMFAO!

Companies do this all the time, Just look at the tablet and phone market when they discontinue lower GB versions of their hardware. The lower pack is obviously not selling so they have to decided to concentrate on their premium hardware, standard business practice.

Did you read the article? Thats what they said they're not doing.

They always say things like that but give it a few month and the basic pack will be less and less readily available, later on the the more premium pack will be cheaper to counteract the loss of the basic pack and no doubt a higher GB pack will become available later on, I'm not having a go at Nintendo I'm just saying what will happen as it happens all over the board with hardware manufactures, I think the Wii U is great...Got the ZombiU Pemium Pack myself, I just cant wait for more 1st party games.

What a bad decision on Nintendo's part the basic 8GB Wii U (3GB after update) is just a rip off. I still think they should discontinue the basic and sell the deluxe for $300 hopefully this is just a cover up and they make announcement at E3. ;)

I don't mind that 8 GB (3 GB) worst thing is in Europe they don't include SENSOR BAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
