People should just be buying this game anyway. No demo needed. I hear that the demo is out of context anyway, and better experienced with the rest of the game as a whole.

Thats fine for me. I didn't want to be spoiled anyways and this is definitely a game I will pick up.

This isn't one of those games where you "try and buy" with a demo. First of all, it's hard to demo it without spoiling a certain part of the story.

2nd, no matter how long/short the demo is, it will leave that feeling that you want to play more!

Kind of like watching Game of Thrones every Sunday...

I dont see the need for it since we all know the game will be awesome. Theres only 2 modes from these previews but it sounds so much fun.

DaReapa1149d ago

And honestly, I'm fine with that. Makes it less of a chance for the risk of potential spoilers.

I think that's a bad decision. Demos should be released around launch in order to help promote the game. What is ND afraid of by not releasing it on the PSN?

colonel1791149d ago

They are not afraid of anything, on the contrary! It is a marketing decision. Since the game has a lot of hype, people interested will impulse-buy the game, instead of downloading the demo. That way if they didn't like it for a reason, they already bought it.

... then they're afraid that people will not like the game based on the demo.

That's basically what you've said.

ftwrthtx1149d ago

My point exactly, Ducky. If they know they have a great game, and I'm sure it is, release the demo for everyone.

Clover9041149d ago

I'm going to get a lot of disagrees, but didnt someone claim during a developer conference that studies showed that demos hurt potential sale more than help?

GraveLord1149d ago

It's great promotion for God of War. Besides, all the game previous on websites are promoting the game just fine.

diepdiep1149d ago

I never play demos of games that I plan on buying anyway.
