Alive Game Zone - Latest developer diary from Ubisoft outs that there are seven Ubisoft studios currently working on their most anticipated title, Assassin’s Creed IV.
After III I really don't think I want to play the series anymore. Will it be like Liberation's training program, is Desmond back or is there a new modern-day hero? I despise III and I still need to complete it. Also, don't think I'm a noob. I've played the series from the beginning and have a platinum trophy for every game excluding I (there were no trophies) and III (I haven't completed it yet). The worst trophy to get was the multiplayer trophy in Brotherhood that required me to get every bonus in one game.
A higher chance of the game flopping...
too many cooks, spoil the broth
Exactly why ac3 was so disjointed and awkward.
Could at least one of them devote to optimizing the PC version this time? AC3 was a stuttering nightmare in places.
As long as it contains some interesting knowledge the time it takes to play through it will be worth it.
As a big fan of the entire series this one holds very little interest with me. The entire story mystery and feel to it vanished with ACIII. Revelations began the set pieces and cinematics and turned the series into something else. I enjoyed the Ezio trilogy even if it took the second tenant of "Hide in plain sight, be one with the crowd" and turned it into a full blown action game while wearing a flashy outfit making you stand out. So what is the purpose of Conway in the fourth title? From what I'm getting it is all about finding riches. AC2 was revenge. Brotherhood was about justice. Revelations was about knowledge. Unless the game finds a way to entice me, I won't be getting it day 1.
I won't argue with you but i loved 3. Read the book forsaken and you will see why 3 is important. I won't explain the book but if you are the hardcore fan that i know i am of the series then you'll want to know. That book should of been a game.
Wow, those studios could be working on sequels to other games or new ips.
people who say "oh this may suck herr derr" need to check their sources or watch the credits of previous assassin's creed games, specifically ACR, which was developed by a ton of studios as well and was the best of the ezio trilogy from a visual and gameplay standpoint
Are you kidding me? Revelations is the worst game in the series along with the first game. The game was a mess that just felt like it was thrown together. Pure trash.
the game literally played EXACTLY like AC2 and brotherhood except with much better graphics, slightly improved fighting, and better platforming, as well as much better storytelling than brotherhood, so to say "it felt like it was thrown together" would be like saying 2 and brotherhood
The more studios you have working on a game, the more potential problems you have. Too much can go wrong, and with developers working on the same game across the world it's hard to keep everything in-line quality-wise. Not to mention it skyrockets development costs.
The length of those end credits will be legendary.
how many people these studios have? 30 each? How the hell they require so many studios working on the same game?
