Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs preview | Gaming Capacity

GC writes - We live in a world that loves to be scared. Horror movies come out in floods every year and are met with droves of people seeking the thrill of fear. Unfortunately the Horror genre has become saturated over the past few years with people confusing blood and gore with actual fear. It’s not just movies though. Franchises such as Resident Evil have implemented so many new elements into their games it could be easily passed off as an action game rather than its original survival horror badge it still prides itself on. Something that reminded us that it is the fear of the unknown, the fear of the supernatural, the fear of being completely useless that is actual horror. Frictional Games, the folks behind the Penumbra franchise, delivered this glimmer of horrific hope, Amnesia: The Dark Descent. A game that garnered critical acclaim and horrified players worldwide.
