Review: EA's sci-fi shooter 'Fuse' lacks spark | Associated Press

By Lou Kesten

If you discovered an energy source as potent as Fuse - a combination of alien and human technology that promises unlimited power - how would you use it? Would you deliver electricity to poor countries? Or try to end humanity's dependence on polluting fossil fuels? Or just build a decent cellphone battery?
Don't be silly. You'd use it to kill other people.

Each of the four protagonists in "Fuse" (Electronic Arts, for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, $59.99) has a different Fuse-based weapon that can disassemble human flesh in creative ways. Jacob's Arcshot sets enemies on fire, while Izzy's Shattergun turns them into crystal. Naya's warp rifle sucks the bad guys into black holes. And Dalton's Magshield can blow them off their feet while protecting his partners. (Fuse, PS3, Xbox 360) 1.5/4
