Gimme Gimme Games conducted an interview with Precursor Games talking about the company's past with Silicon Knights, Shadows of the Eternals, the Wii U hardware, Cry Engine 3 and more.
"Precursor:Although it may not have as much processing power as the other platforms, the Wii U presents opportunities like no other platform for some very unique gameplay and we are very excited to to bringing Shadow of the Eternals to it. We are excited about using the Nintendo eShop to give us flexibility to distribute our game episodically." *popcorn*
No one in their right mind thinks that the Wii U is AS powerful as the PS4 or Xbone, so... Flame off! ;p
"Question: A lot has been said (some negatively) about the power of Nintendo’s Wii U console. You guys have spoken highly about how the system handles Cry Engine 3. How does the Wii U compare to CURRENT-GENERATION and next-generation systems in your opinion?" The Wii U is next-gen... The whole theater is in flames... *grabs Nero fiddle*
So you're saying that their response suggests that the Wii U isn't as powerful as current gen consoles? Really? When in the very next part he said that they anticipate the Wii U visuals as looking the same as the PC version? You're just trolling.
Obviously not /AS/ powerful, but it's still pretty up there. Also, the hardware doesn't have to do as much compared to Xbox One and PS4 since those are so feature heavy.
If they're excited to bring it don't take that away from them
I'm actually curious to see what PS4 and XB1 do with all this power in their new consoles. So far I'm not impressed. I never by Nintendo consoles based on power, I buy them cause they always innovate the gameplay. I didnt get that with Sony and Microsoft so far.
All consoles tend to have special games worth playing. But to each his own I guess.
