It wouldn’t be a new day without The Last of Us getting some attention from us, with the newly announced single player DLC being the focus. - PSLS
Good to know that that won't be the last of the Last of Us ;)
I see what you did there...=). Bring on more singleplayer experience i say.
I would guess they are technically right. Content that existed on the storyboard won't even be started until after the game launches means it's still content that was cut out.
Hopefully this is the case with most DLC, but you kinda know it isn't, sadly. Looking forward to this game.
don't remind me of Capcom please.
And let the "DLC Conspiracies" from everyone begin. I believe that this is genuinely add-on content and not cut content, in the same way that BioShock Infinite will be genuine add-on content rather than cut content from the main game. A story teller does not want to cut sections of their creation just to make money. That would be like offering missing chapters of a book for extra money. I believe this is supplemental content to help enhance the original story rather than content that was cut from it.
" A story teller does not want to cut sections of their creation just to make money. That would be like offering missing chapters of a book for extra money. " This is precisely what Ubisoft did with Assassin's Creed II. I was absolutely disgusted by this revelation.
I would argue that by the time they were making AC2, it was a cash cow anyway, and it was beyond saving on the "storytelling aspect". Traditionally, true creators and visionaries should not want to cut out core elements of their own content, though I must admit that it does indeed happen.
I guess this means we'll have to wait a little bit before it releases...which I don't mind.
All games have a deadline and they can't put in everything they wanted. The game went gold, and then they started working on new stuff. I really don't see a problem with it and if the SP is great, I'm going to welcome more of it. So sick of all the whiners.
Yep, Naughty Dog will be let off, just because you know..n4ps3.
I hope so. The only DLC on consoles this generation that actually felt like an honest-to-goodness expansion was Dark Souls for me in both content and release date.
The Fury expansion for WipEout HD, best DLC ever for the best DLG ever (imo of course), it doubled the fun in tracks, gamemodes. It felt like a new game instead of an add-on.

In Naughty God we trust
Let me guess, he offended your religious beliefs? grow up.
Can't take a joke, eh? I think you're the one who needs to grow up.
Would anyone love to see Naughty Dog explore Joel's life before he met Ellie?? Maybe when he was younger, either shortly after the outbreak happened or a few years before he met Ellie...I think exploring what type of person Joel was before he met up with Ellie would add a whole extra level of character depth. We already got a comic on Ellie, why not DLC on Joel? If not, maybe a supporting cast member we don't know about yet or even someone entirely new and badass...I feel like playing as a character with swords similar to Michonne from The Walking Dead would be pretty cool lol
just reveil the MP already, the suspence is killin me
Doesn't the demo go live in a few days for gow:ascension owners? So the wait will be over lol
it's not a MP demo it's a SP demo so you are wrong but they did say that they'll show it in couple of days which is when the demo will go live lol
good to hear^^
Day one for me!! 😬
I knew it. Now gamers, are you going to complain yet AGAIN?
Doesn't matter how respected the developer is you will never know if they are telling the truth or not.
I can't wait!
It's probably from the core game, like it is for every other title that announces DLC before the game launches. A question for all developers. Why? Making games should be cheaper, while profit can still be the same you would earn with huge budget games. I put in a video that should well explain why making the games should be a lot cheaper, and the DLC should come after. DLC shouldn't even be acknowledged until a month after release, at least.
Hopefully they won't drag their feet with it like Bioshock Infinite's DLC.
