Hotline Miami is running at 60 fps on PS3 and Vita.

Some good news about the PlayStation versions of Hotline Miami: the game will run at 60 frames-per-second. Fans can expect both the PS3 and PS Vita titles to offer smooth gameplay. (Hotline Miami, PS Vita, PS3)

and so it should, I mean jeeze, 8 bit games shouldn't tax consoles, even if they are 8 years old.

Yeah, lol. This is hardly news. My PC is worse than the PS3, and most likely worse than the Vita as well, and I can still run Cave Story and SNES roms in 60fps.

my thoughts exactly. It's pretty much a NES game graphically. No reason not to run 60 FPS.

PSone would run it in 60fps. Though interesting choice. Except a bit better responsiveness, this kind of game won't benefit from 60fps at all.

I would hope so. Not to take anything away from the game itself, since it is a fun game, but it's not exactly the type of game that would push any hardware to its limits.

With that said, I can't wait for it to come out soon on the Vita.

to be honest... if it was running at 30fps, especially for a game like this... would we notice a MAJOR difference? kind of pointless...
AedanClarke  +   768d ago
You would, actually. It's essentially a "tactical switch shooter" and if the game doesn't run fast enough to keep up with your "twitchiness", then it's defective by design.

I remember playing this on PC with a 360 controller. It was fairly more difficult for me.

I'll probably buy it on Vita for that reason. :P
