To Game or To Entertain?

"At those press releases they need to focus on core gaming aspects, not a Halo live action TV series. If Microsoft doesn’t change their approach to marketing the Xbox One, they may find themselves going the way of the Dreamcast very soon. Don’t believe me? Look up Sega Dreamcast Console on Amazon and look at the last bullet point under Product Description. It reads 'All-in-one-entertainment. '" -- GameDwellers (Xbox One)

Both....But.. even tho gaming is classed as entertainment also it should always be 85% gaming and 15% entertainment assuming entertainemnt in this case is movies, browser,tv ect.

I have a cable box and a Pc for entertainment/gaming when i purchase a gaming console i expect it to be a gaming console not some sort of spyware cable box for watching tv and spending money

Game for me mostly. Movies sometimes. That's what the 360 symbolised for me any way.

Both the PS4 and XBone will play games..... advertising other features is the way of the world...i'm interested in gaming mostly but certainly in other features too....

When apple introduce there new iphone, do they only talk about the fact it calls people? No....If there wasn't a market for other features on consoles, would sony and MS be offering it...?

E3 will show Sony and MS fans that there are some great exclusives and multiplat games coming to both systems....

Take a chill pill, and embrace the fact that next gen is nearly here.... stop posting crap about spyware cable boxes etc....It's a great time for gaming....bring on E3!!!

Games, movies, TV shows, sports, are all forms of entertainment. Some people like one more than the other. I like everything evenly and am glad MS decided to make a dreambox for millions of customers like myself. One system to rule them all. Some people might just want a dedicated system so there are other alternatives. Whatever fits their bill, as long as they are happy.
