The original Bioshock...so much better than Bioshock Infinite.

Are you serial?

Am I serial for having an opinion different from yours?

One that doesn't sound like everybody's opinions?

No. Glad you enjoyed it though

I'm a good way through Infinite right now, and I'd actually have to agree. The first had such a bigger impact and emotional feel to it. Infinite is very good so far, but not like the first.

Many think Bioshock infinite is "tha bast game avar" solely because of it's story. If you think about it, the gameplay is very repetetive, the sense of exploration stalls after the intro and the shooting feels fucking generic. I think it's more of an "not my taste" thing for me, but i seriously didn't have a good impression of it after beating it. It was a fucking chore to get through.
I do agree that the original Bioshock is the best in the series. It's just the "so much" part that I find not so agreeable.

Ok. IMO there are a list of positives in Bioshock that outweighs Infinite's positives. Then when you take the negatives of Bioshock and the negatives of Infinite, Infinite comes out on top.

I would like to see this game reviewed some time later to see if the opinion of it still holds. Because I truly believed we all were mystified and excused many things wrong with it.

It was nothing more than a glossy, flashy empty clone of the original Bioshock. But then again, that's my opinion.

I agree with your statement as well. Bioshock had one of the best video game stories I have played through in a long time. The big "reveal" in that game had my head doing spins. Infinite is a great game and has some really cool ideas behind it, but nothing can compare to riding down in your first bathysphere and seeing Rapture for the very first time. The whole game was just so engaging. My favorite video game of this generation easily.

Even having the same brand name, it was supposed to not have. Now I know why...

Bioshock Infinite must be played and seen as a different game. They have no relation (unless similarities) whatsoever with each other. Great games, where in Bioshock (1 and 2) you are someone that you can actually relate as yourself... Infinite is someone with personality and way of thinking. This is already a huge tone-changer to the original IP.

Also Dead Space as well... hopefully, Valve might not change that on Gordon (even having a name).
