“divorced once”
Boy. And Sony was worried about "PS4" because "four" translates to "death" in Japanese.

It is kinda funny how that works, heh.

Though to clear up, *SONY* wasn't worried about it, Western journalists were worried about it, because of their limited understanding of that culture point. I mean really "four" is an English word, while "shi" is the original Japanese word for "four." They moodify it to "yon" most of the time out of that superstition-gone-tradition just like North America says "Bless You" when someone sneezes. It's not that we REALLY believe that your soul is leaving through your nose...we just grew up saying "bless you" after a sneeze.

Good satirical article about the whole situation:

I agree, IPhone 4 /4s galaxy S4 etc are examples of products with the number 4, doing well in Japan.

Now "one" can be translated to death in English.

The only japanese thing about the xbox reveal event was 2 seconds of hideo kojima. All of the features that were shown, japan doesnt give a shit about. Japanese gamers werent stupid enough to pick up an xbox for kinect in the past, and neither will they do now. I dont see the xbox one having any changes in Japan in its current state. The only way that I give them any market share over in Japan is that if sme of the exclusives that they show at E3 are games like monster hunter and metal gear solid.

Looks like Japan aren't buying this either.

In all honesty, I'm not sure who will buy this thing. The price point will be the key for MS. If they can go on the cheaper side, it might actually do better than people are thinking.

A bit oot. This is about Justice League pict in the article with 'Robama wants you to buy american - Trade any manga for new DC 52', is that pict official from DC Comics?
If yes than wow. I mean, i liked Batman (Year One, Long Halloween, & Hush are my fav) but i will not trade my manga such as GTO, Vagabond, 20th Century Boy, FMA, or Black Lagoon for another alternate Batman world.

On topic. Already predict that japan doesn't like Xbone. If japanese people don't buy it than do not expect the majority of japanese dev will support it with exclusives, let alone multiplats.

Well if people here in the US dont like the idea of kinnect possibly spying on them then I bet people from other countries like it even less. I dont care about that because I just dont like kinnect at all and it being mandatory is enough to make me not buy this thing because I never want to use it. Combined with weaker hardware and other horrible stuff im safe in not getting this thing.

I knew I was getting ps4 first, but now im gonna buy a wiiu instead of ever getting xbox-1.
