GR writes: "Following the announcement of the Xbox One the results have been clear: many people aren’t happy about what Microsoft is doing with the Xbox brand. Reading comments and feedback online would lead you to believe that the Xbox One has no chance of competing next-gen. Meanwhile, gamers have been quick to wrap their arms around the yet-to-be-released or even seen PS4, which Sony touts as gamer-focused hardware. While there is good reason for these trends, this is only the beginning of a long feud and there are several challenges the PS4 faces that make it anything but the perfect machine you may be led to believe."
"Hammerwatch II's journey to Xbox has been long and perilous. After first launching on Steam in the fall of 2023, the game finally turned up on PlayStation 5 last December. Since then, Xbox gamers who enjoyed the original Hammerwatch and the sublime Heroes of Hammerwatch have been anxiously awaiting their turn at the long-promised sequel. At last, the wait is nearly over because Hammerwatch II will hit Xbox and PlayStation 4 on April 23," says Co-Optimus.
Joe 'Three Sheets' Neate (Executive Producer): "As I’m sure you can imagine, when it comes to Sea of Thieves my days are full of numbers. Development costs, active servers, days until the next update… Sometimes, though, a truly extraordinary number stands out – a number like 40 million, which I’m incredibly pleased to say is the number of pirates who’ve now set sail in Sea of Thieves!"
Garrr... more people to walk the plank and send to Davey Jones locker.
would have been funny to release this on talk like a pirate day.
Devstream 178 was filled with so many cool announcements for the game's community, and were able to ask a lot of questions about Warframe: 1999 and more!
True. This whole used game thing (if true) will quite likely apply to the PS4 as well.
PlayStation has a leg up when it comes to your living room as far as media devices go. They already have a line of TV's and stand alone blu-ray players and their smart TV's do just about everything the Xbox One will do.
As for the used game market, GameStop will end up lowering their prices on used games, but that means they'll give even less for trade in values.
I think neither of the console manufacturers want to admit what their machine will require from users.
PS4 will not cost $600... This guy is silly.
Wonder if the Gaikai service is going to have free access with all the features.
