Fire Emblem: Awakening DLC goes uncensored in Europe

Fire Emblem: Awakening’s “Summer Scramble” DLC is out now in Europe. As you may remember, Nintendo censored a moment of one CG scene for the North American release. (3DS, Fire Emblem: Awakening)

Ah, so it's just Nintendo of America who are high strung. Seriously, do they not even realize that the kids who grew up with Nintendo aren't kids anymore? We're adults now, I think we can handle some underwear lol. Regardless, they only made it worse with the censoring...

I would like to think that we , Europe, are fairly liberal. Sure we have countries in the EU were prostitution is legal so the censorship of something like this would be fairly hypocritical.

U.S. gamers should rage and ask for a refund or ask for a patch that can fix this issue. Freedom expression, yeah right...

Hmmm.. that might happen because in comparison with US EU countries doesn't have the disease of hypocritical pseudo-puritanism, I'm afraid that in US ppl's mind have a very bad disease & unfortunately there is no cure for them :/

Isn't it tragic that in a country they call "Land of Freedom" there is no "Freedom of Expression" whatsoever?

Whenever I read articles like that TERA comes always in my mind, they still doing that sh1t I'm glad I don't leave there.

Well... That's a pretty messed up way to lump people into a singular category. We have a ton of asshats online in all areas of the world; not just the U.S. I'm an objective person and I view all opinions equally. I've many friends that do the same. Simply because your experiences have sucked, doesn't mean you have to demean the public as a whole. That's childish and nonsensical.

I don't "approve" of sexualised or suggestive poses with manga characters because i think it seems like a cheap way to lure people to a product, but Nintendo of Europe has actually avoided my purchase of this game because of all the censoring. I saw a jpg on reddit that showed how one of the dialogues had been re-written because it suggested one had big breasts and "curves" in the US translation. In the EU they changed it so the person complimented the woman's hair instead. These are small details, but if there is a somewhat perverted scene in any form of fiction, i want it to be kept intact even if it's Silly.

As far as I know, the only censored dialog (and image for the US version) is only that single one, which is in the optional paid DLC. If you have a 3DS you are missing out in one of the best games on the platform, and one of the best games I played in a while! This should not be a reason to not get it!

I agree whole-heartily. If I wanted that, I'd go online and google search "Some hentai chick getting nailed" and bam... 3 million pages of perversion.

This is a game about intelligence and creative thinking; not boners and fantasies.

Now only if they'll release the vita game with boobs(senran kagura) in EU then I'll be happy.

Don't blame Nintendo.

It's the US regulators and rating committees that treat their consumers like kids.
