Console Gaming vs Handheld Gaming

Opinion article that weighs console games versus the handheld games (Android, iPhone, PC, PS Vita, PS3, PSP, Wii, Xbox 360)

why not pc vs consoles? they share the same games.
the article is dumb in a few ways
first its only talking about the vita so really its vita vs console & iphones (I smell fanboy)

second he says his iphone can do the same. ( lol are you serious? try to play killzone on a iphone plus not all can shovel $500 for a over priced phone. a vita Is expensive but it costs less...also you try to play sfxt vs online vs someone who playing on the ps3)

third ..no, no third. im done id rather play soul sacrifice....

WHY WOULD ANYONE COMPARE PC TO HOME CONSOLES? its like trying to compare. honda to a mustang.
Kingthrash360  +   862d ago
exactly my point...same could be said about handhelds vs consoles
...its like comparing a Honda to a mustag. such a dumb article.

Soul Sacrifice is a good example of a portable game;

"Mobile games are for 5 minutes of enjoyment until we can get home to our consoles and PC’s."

As for KZM comparison, I think that's arguable.

MC5 is likely to release @ Q4.. near KZM release.

$ 39.99 4v4 game vs $ 7.99 6v6 game..

Sure it's inferior but KZM will be questionable at x5 the price for a lot of the prospective buyer.

Most "Gamers" (VITA gamers are proven more niche than 3DS and PS3/360 gamers).. would rather SAVE UP that 32 dollar difference for a home console/pc game then get a 7.99 phone game..

The PSV is in a hard position since Sony doesn't have handheld legacy IPs like Nintendo and also lost MH.

They've also yet to release games (or announce co-development) that made their predecessor system very popular in the 1st place:

GoW/GT/GTA/MGS/KH/FF (non ports)

UCGA/KZM/SS and now Panopticon.. WON'T be enough..

Unless Sony's just fine being slow and continue to lower their projections.

Come E3.. then.. Come TGS.. then.. PS Heaven.. then repeat.

I agree and to clarify the "try to play kz on a iphone" l ment control wise. I know about mc5 but id rather play mc5 on my vita rather than the iphone SIMPLY because of the controls.
this article is comparing the obviously inferior vita to consoles (he says handhelds but only talks about vita). such an unfair and obviously bias article....yeah its a breath of fresh air because the Ex-box flop articles are abundant but please handheald games systems are here to stay and in some instances keep big name companys in business...*cough* nintendo... and the apple thing isn't even in tge handheld category yes it plays games but so does my smart tv but ay the end of the day its a phone that plays games and shouldn't be considered though it affects not only handhelds but also consoles (they cost more than consoles) so shouldn't be in this articles as an example.
