EA and Star Wars: A New Hope?

The Star Wars fans are easily startled, but they'll be back, and in greater numbers. Given EA’s back-to-back “Worst Company in America” awards, matched with their highly controversial takeovers and other management practices, the initial reaction was panic. EA has had some issues with ruining what makes their games good by trying to market them to a bigger audience, and it goes without saying that Star Wars fans have felt that disturbance in the Force before. So here's what they should do, and what they should avoid in the near future. (EA, PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

star wars hasnt been good since 'Return of the Jedi' in films, and 'Knights of the Old Republic' in games. and ea......umm.....those corrupt corporate whores have never been 'good', only 'slightly better' when they werent trying to monopolise the entire games industry so as companies must bend to their will- day one dlc, online passes and their hatred of pre-owned games. #fu*k_ea

More like EA and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back

Knowing EA, most of their StarWars licences would probably be for a game tied in with the new movie....

The reality of licensed movie type games is they are the victims of their own success. A big name movie game will sell quite well regardless on how terrible the actual game is.

Now lets say EA made the most amazing star wars game ever, they market it really well and word spread around the internet like crazy, would it actually sell enough extra copies to make up for all the extra development and advertising costs, compared to if they had just outsourced the game to a crappy no name dev, similar to what happened with colonial marines. I'm pretty sure colonial marines sold really well despite being a below average game (to put it very politely)

Too bad Wii U owners won't get a chance to play it, especially if it turns out to be decent. And I'm posting this as I wonder if SW:TFU is worth getting.
