Retailer Lists Batman: Arkham Origins For PS4, XBox One

If a new listing by New Zealand retailer, Mighty Ape, proves accurate, Warner Bros. Games Montreal’s next installment to the successful Batman games will arrive on next gen systems. (Batman: Arkham Origins, PS4, Xbox One)

Hard to tell

Oh yeah, bring it on!

As much as I would like to have BAO on PS4, I deem it is very unlikely to happen. O_o

Actually it's very likely. Arkham City was on PC, and with the architecture of the PS4 and Xbox One basically being PC's it should be an easy port.

Its actually very, very likely to happen. PC version could be ported this time around to save money. Costs wouldn't be astronomical to the developer and any real costs wouldn't be hindered if the game sells well. Both previous batman games sold great so this one is a no brainier to push to the masses.

I hope they bring the GOTY version to the PS4. They don't even have to change anything, I just would like to have it on the ps4.

I don't know if it's being developed for PC (I assume so). If it is being developed for PC, PS4 and XB1 would be a no brainer.

More games for PS4 is what we need
Since it's announcement, this was already a sure thing! I hope they will fully optimised it for PS4.

People need to remember, the good first half year or so the next generation machines will be getting ports. Also remember developers have had dev units for almost a year or more now too.

It isn't like this current generation where both MS and Sony kinda shoved it out there rather fast. They both took some time and said "hey, we plan to do this, heads up."

Personally think ports are fine. At least you can buy it for a new console and not be stuck with a lack of backwards capability.

I'll buy this for ps3 but not for any next gen console. I'm not buying anything for next gen which has been designed to harness next gen's tech.

No COD
No GTA
NO Batman

Engine tweaks and ports that claim to be next gen don't deserve my money.

But any title that is being designed for PC is being designed for PS4 and possibly XBOX One (I believe it's x86). PC is x86 architecture, and so is PS4 (pretty sure XBX1 is too), so the game is essentially the same for PC and next gen with the exception of I/O and certain features built into the consoles. What I'm saying is... if the game is being built for PC, you can expect that quality of version for the PS4 and XBX1, and that version is usually higher quality textures, framerate, etc than the PS3/360.
