"This news is rather expected, but it's good to see Microsoft not completely go the way of Nintendo. An Amazon posting has confirmed the Xbox One's console will be sold separately, though no price or release date is listed."
Everyone already knew that, so I hate to spoil your surprise.
Surely you can't mean everyone, right? I'm sure there are a few invalids who haven't heard the news yet.
This is a time when common sense comes into play... Nothing about the controller is unique or special (unlike the Wii U gamepad), nor does anything say otherwise, so it is safe to assume that the controller can be bought separately. When you consider 360 controllers are confirmed to not be compatible with the system, this article would be about M$ killing the offline (how else can you play with 2 people offline if you can't buy a controller outside of a console, besides your friend bringing one over, which how many developers are going to make content if that's the only way?) if that was indeed true, so it was a logical assumption. One that practically everyone would have guessed and really assumed to begin with.
"An Amazon posting has confirmed the Xbox One’s CONSOLE will be sold separately, though no price or release date is listed." LOL
That's fair enough, but if you didn't know that Microsoft would be selling extra controllers for it's Xbox well Happy Birthday. Oh, you didn't know that amazon post them. Lol
@pigpen Haha fair enough. Well, now we know. And all that's wasted is our time. :-)
Cool, now I can buy a new toy for my dog to play fetch with.
Why stop there? "Xbox One, fetch!" Imagine the possibilities.
I just want to know if my Turtle beaches will work on it. Seeing the port on the bottom of the controller, IDK.
I think it was actually confirmed (looking for an article now) that no current generation headsets will work with it. Don't quote me on that, but that's what I'm recalling at the moment.
Well that's a shame. :(
No current head sets will work on the xbox juan. Here's the article. http://n4g.com/news/1262997...
Shafting the consumer every chance they can get.
Microsoft has done a terrible job explaining anything about this console. From what I understand only USB headsets will work but those current headsets might not even work because new propitiatory requirements.
Take notes Nintendo! Offer controllers at launch! Still waiting on two Gamepad compatibility.
It would be funny if it didn't actually come with a controller. After all it does have Kinect.
uh... were people thinking that the controller wasn't going to be available for purchase if they wanted more than one?
wow seriously? i mean SERIOUSLY?
Talk about stating the obvious
