Dead Island 2 Riptide Review - Chaos Hour

Released just under two years from the previous. Dead Island Riptide is the direct gruesome sequel to Dead Island 1. It continues the horrifying story of four survivors which are immune to the Zombie virus and want to escape from the dangers of Banoi Island. However will Riptide be able to keep up with the killer success of Dead Island 1 or is this entry into the Zombie franchise better left sunk.

The story continues almost immediately after the events of Dead Island 1. You are saved by a military ship which then turns sour as they capture you to find the reasons why you are immune to the virus. You then meet a new playable character who is a hard nut marine who specialises in kicking and hand to hand combat which is crazy! Fortunately for you though the military vessel runs into some trouble and you manage to escape. Thus starts your quest to once again, survive by your teeth by exploring a brand new island, helping local survivors and ultimately ending this plague once and for all. (Dead Island Riptide, PC, PS3, Xbox 360) 8/10
