TeamXbox writes: "It's no secret that gamers love mascots. Mario. Sonic. Link. You name a character, and likely there's a fanbase for it. SEGA, next to Nintendo, probably has one of the most recognizable stables of video game mascots in the industry. So what do these guys do in their down time? If SEGA's latest release is any indication, they take to the court and serve up a little fun with a few games of tennis.
SEGA Superstars Tennis is SEGA's attempt to dish out some fan service to people that have supported the company throughout its history. The game features characters and courts based on hit titles like Sonic the Hedgehog, Golden Axe, House of the Dead, and Jet Grind Radio. In some shape or form, most of SEGA's well known series are tossed into the mix and given the unlikely backdrop of a tennis game, with a host of casual minigames thrown in for good measure."
