TheGamerScene Preview – Deadpool

I’m gonna make this short. I love Deadpool. Not the game, I’ve not played it yet, but the character is fantastic. Ok, so he’s a rip off, pretty much a parody of DC comics character Deathstroke, but my god he’s just so much fun. I was first introduced to Deadpool in 1992. I was an 11 year old in a comic shop with my dad, and on the wall was a huge Deadpool poster. Really huge. We’re talking 20 foot wide and 15 tall. It covered the far wall. I thought to myself, who the heck is that guy? I’d most read Batman and Spider-Man, and quite a few independents at this point.
Then I saw his comic. 49p it cost me for an out of date issue. I bought it. Me and my dad went for dinner at Druckers, I read the comic, I went back and bought 5 more 49p issues, and the latest issue for £1.29. With my pocket money depleted, I went home and fell in love with Deadpool the same way other school boys my ages were just starting to fall in love with their first crushes.
