Watch Dogs Preview - One Of The Most Anticipated Wii U games Of 2013 | TheOfficialNintendoMagazine

'Imagine GTA with command of Chicago's electronics'

By Alex Dale

Well, it turns out we were being watched all along. Hidden in our little Nintendo enclave, we thought we were safe from prying eyes, but we were dead wrong. Watch Dogs, the high-tech, high-concept open world adventure that stole the show at E3 2012, will be invading the privacy of a Wii U disc slot near you this winter. If you keep yourselves up to date with the Xbox/PlayStation scene, you'll already know that it's one of the most exciting sandbox games to emerge in some time. Our one-line sell would go something like this: imagine a Grand Theft Auto game in which you have the command of the entire city's electronics at your fingertips. (Watch Dogs, Wii U)

This is a day 1 buy for me. The game screams gamepad integration.

Yep I can't wait to use my smartphone with the PS4 version of this game or my Vita with cross controller.

and spend around $700 to do something the wiiu can do for $300?

@yugovega

He prolly already just owns a vita and smartphone, so he is not spending 700 on this game, he is just using what he already owns.

@lordme
He already owns a PS4? Wow!

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

out of PS3 Wii U and 360 i think Wii U will have a superior version with gamepad to use the phone.

On new generation consoles it could be a great idea to DL an app on the phone or tablet and make it communicate with the game to use the phone like for real!!!

Yeah, playing a game with 2 devices instead of one, sounds fun.

*plays watch dog with dualshock 4* *puts down controller and picks up smartphone* Puts down smartphone and grabs controller*

Jcnba28 I agree I can't wait to get this on the Wiiu. I am loving batman 2 on the Wiiu so if this game can work in ways the batman games dose it will be amazing.

I think previews like this should be banned from this site. It had no concrete Wii U information. He hasn't seen the game running on Wii U and the quotes he gave from the developers are months old... Come back when you have actual information from the Wii U version. Sorry if that was rant like.

This game will run nice on my OC GTX670. I'm interested in how the WiiU port will look. In case anyone does not know, All console version are ported from PC's lead development.

I sound like a PC fanboy but I'm not. I just throw my money at exclusives and best versions of games. I'm a graphics whore and have a fear of low res and Jaggies.

I'm a PC gamer first and foremost. Always have, always will. However, if they do some cool things with the gamepad, I'll definitely be picking this game up for Wii U rather than PC. Assuming it looks decent enough.

Any game for WiiU should be most anticipated.

Baa-Zzing! If it's actually coming to the WII U, now should be the time that Ubi should be talking about and showing how the gamepad can be a intergral part of gameplay.

This game does look like it'd use the Wii U's Gamepad very much and innovate as well. Glad to see Ubisoft still supporting Nintendo with a lot of their new IP's.

One of the most anticipated Wii U games, huh?

I can guarantee you that Wii U is the last thing that comes to mind when Watch Dogs is mentioned. Eveybody's thinking either "Can I run it on my monstrous gaming PC" or "Can PS4/Nextbox run it as great as it looked back at E3?"

Nobody's thinking about the Wii U version as we already know that it'll look just like the PS3/360 version, in other words, dated and inferior.

I'm definitely buying this game on my Wii U. Hopefully on day one! Lord willing I have the money that day anyway. Hopefully Ubisoft really implements the Gamepad features like I seen them do on ZombiU and Splinter Cell.
