Timeline of GameSpot staff exodus

The HotSpot, GameSpot's podcast, has announced that yet another GameStop staffer will be be leaving the site. Senior Editor Brad Shoemaker's last day will be this Friday, although during the podcast, he gave no reason for his departure. Shoemaker has been with the site since 1999. There is no information on what he will be doing after his departure.

If you take a look at how many GameSpot employees have left the site after the Gerstmann controversy, it doesn't take long to see a pattern; it seems as if few personalities behind the site wish to stay after the shakeup following Gertmann's firing. Let's take a look at the timeline...

It's a shame really. All of them pretty much quit over the Gerstmann incident so it just goes to show you there MUST have been something going on over there. I used to look forward to GS reviews but now I look elsewhere for them. GS used to be such a great site but it's gone so down hill.

Gerstmann has already begun on his own gaming site though.
